Tribute to Ettore (Tomymoonly Mod)

So here we are, the "revenge" of X³ on Ettore, the best modder the world has ever known.

It's a kind of reaction to the Steamroller's mod he done. I was wondering why he is doing so much modd on yoyos and nobody is making any on B!ST one? So i picked up the Competizione Super Evo my friend Sam offered me and looked at it... I thought about what i will be able to do with my cheap and bad tools. I had so many ideas but of course i knew i could not achieved everything with the limited tools that i had...

My main  idea was to play with light effects that will cross the yoyo.

So i thought about my idea and decided to do it that way :
First, i wanted to Create 4 longs parallel slots on each halve  and to dig 4 holes close to the bearing sit to let pass the light. Then, i had to align all the slots and the holes between the 2 halves in order to build a symetry effect

When the competizione has been finished, i had  something new to fix. It was too light to be playable. So i thought on wich yoyo i should use to create  the weight rims. I decide to pick up the stargazer Naoki offered me. I had the idea to work with the screw of the competizione, creating someting looking like a pit of light that will bring the light on the slots of the yoyo..  That's why i only dig a hole on the center of the rims.

In the end, the light effects expected was not as good as i wanted, but it works.

At least if i think it's all about my tools, i could not have done a better modd... it has been done with cheap and bad tools, and everybody could have done it... (exept for the rims u could not have done such a work without a lath.)

So my final words will be this one, "if u like to work on yoyos, not esspecially play, just try it, don't be afraid to waste hundred of euros, the most important is to take pleasure / Have fun ..."

ZeuS Story

ZeuS is designed by Alexandre VALIN

ZeuS is a concept that I have in mind for a long time.

The idea was to place the weight in 4 points, and to adjust those points according to the desired playability.
I called that afterward the ZS shape. Why?

Here is the sectional shot of the Zeus that emphasizes the ZS shape; we can clearly see the S shape on top. Imagine the other half, you’ll get the Z and you’ll see the ZS.

I annotated these 3 points, by considering the bearing system as the 4th point.
My idea was to move these points and to vary their diameter, in order to adjust the distribution of weight at best. After several questions and several designs, looking for the ideal repartition that will suit my style, ZeuS was born.

The proto is perfect for me, still extreme shape, extreme spin and what seems to be the most stable of our yoyos to this day . Contrary to what some people may think, this yoyo is not heavy, its 66 grams towards its volume, confers a sensation of lightness.

It is not said that the concept of the ZeuS will be the only one. The ZS collection?

Changes

*****

Due to the requests of our overseas friends, we
now decided to mostly use the size C bearing. There’s indeed the largest choice of bearing is in this category; so, every player will be allowed to choose which suits him best.

The bearing will be still very tight, however a little less than on the Stampede. To us, a good yoyo has a very tight bearing, and it is wise to unscrew it to clean or change its bearing only, and not to remove a knot.
